Yesterday I was about to go to 11 a.m. mass at St. Peter Canisius International Parish (a.k.a. St. Theresia) with my sister by taxi but apparently the Thamrin boulevard was closed to any car. It was a Car Free Day! We didn't knew it, so we came to the mass late. Instead of coming inside we went to Jl. Sabang to take Clemy's 120mm film for her LOMO at Jakarta Foto. We didn't know where to go but we stopped in front of Robinson Department Store and had Rujak Juhi for lunch.
[rujak juhi, one of Jakarta's traditional food]
After lunch we called Bent and asked whether he wanted to join us go to Kemang or Lamandau. He said yes so we departed from Jl. Sabang bt 12 p.m. and walked through Jl. M.H. Thamrin. We've stopped at Djakarta Theater first to have pee (it was a nature call, can't resist it.. LOL). Then, back to Thamrin we found how empty the boulevard was!
Time for some fun and adventure, we walked on the middle of the street and enjoyed for there was no any single car there. Only transjakarta buses passed us and some other pedestrians. It was like the whole street was ours only! How peaceful it is Jakarta without car!
Along the way to Halte Dukuh Atas, we met this young woman of 35-40 sticking image of some party on the halte's posts and just let the yellow part of the stickers spreaded on the street. It really annoyed us, while the whole street is so clean without any pollution from car, she littered on the halte like she didn't care to the clean environment at all. My sister and I collected the trashes and gave them to her but she got angry to us (bet she was totally humiliated in front of the people there.) My sister added: "You ride on a Mercy but your action is unappropriate to your car!"
[the Mercy, the woman in yellow and the yellow trashes]
We met Bent at Halte Dukuh Atas and the three of us get on Kopaja 19 and went to Jl. Iskandarsyah and get off at the carrefour of Jl. Kyai Maja Trunojoyo. We walked along the street to the direction of RSPP (Pertamina) just to get to Jl. Lamandau. When we finally got there by 2 p.m. we got so excited! There Bent had his Blenger Burger lunch while me and Clemy had the cold strawberry juice to cool down our throats.

I got a really pretty short dress at 2nday's shop after chilling out at the small complex of distros, boutiques and food stalls.
After got so tired we went back to Jl. Sisimangaraja and waited for the Kopaja 19 to get back to Halte Dukuh Atas and walked another 10 minutes to get to the apartment. We changed costumes and went to the whirlpool ASAP for we were so tired. We bathed for around 20 minutes in the whirlpool and swam for 5-6 laps only (still so tired.)
Clemy cooked the pork Dad brought from Kupang for our dinner and it felt so nice having dinner with my siblings like that. Simple and modest but I could feel the warmth and closeness of this family. I really love this life!
