Day 8 ~ Dreamland

We woke up early and packed up for this was our last day at Fat Yogi. We were ready at before 9 a.m., all dressed up, packed up, and filled up. The rental car Mom ordered arrived at our hotel and together with Tante Yenny+husband we rode out of Kuta to north. We went past Denpasar and stopped at the Catholic Church to say a little prayer and I bought a nice necklace+liontinof rose with Mother Mary inside it there.

We rode on to the old Sukawati art market and shopped some more stuff there. I didn't buy anything for I've spent all of my money and broke already.

But I and Mom found a very beautiful painting of Balinese dancer by Cadek, the original painter of the style, the seller said. It was a very beautiful painting, I gotta tell you.

We rode on the car to Ubud and stopped by Bebek Bengil for lunch. After ordering the same menu for the 7 of us, we walked to the rice fields and took some pics there.

The meals arrived in no time and we had a really nice fried duck meal, and since they asked us to use our fingers, it was Borge's first time to use his fingers on meal.

We drove around the Ubud, past the Monkey Forest and stopped there to look around at some shops. But we didn't shop here. We continued to circling the block by car and found a nice coffee shop at Jl. Hanoman.

The men stayed at the coffee shop while the women went shopping. My siblings went to some shop that sells accessories while I discovered the whole road of Jl. Dewi Sita.

We then went to the Dreamland on Pecatu area. I drove from the bypass because Dad was sleepy. The road was quite difficult because of the motorcycle everywhere and also the hill.

We were disappointed becuz we found nothing so nice to see here. The buildings were knocked down and they were still working on the new one so it was quite messed up there. The beach isn't that beautiful, too, because trashes from the sea were everywhere. We spent not more than 30 minutes here cuz it wasn't as dreamy as we thought it would be.

We went back to the Kuta area through Jimbaran to see some new views. We parked at Discovery Mall's parking area and walked along the road to find someplace to eat.

We got separated from the folks becuz we didn't really like the food at the resto they chose. So me and my siblings went to KFC Kuta Square (againnn!!) and had dinner there. It was started to rain so we went back to the Jl. Kartika and together we walked to the Discovery Mall to take our rental car and drove to Poppies Lane to drop Tante Yenny and her husband back to their hotel. I got my last-minute shopping for the cute shorts there before we went to Uncle Hari's crib to stay that night.

We went back to Jakarta the next day by 6 a.m. of local time flight by Batavia Air and arrived in Jakarta by 6.30 a.m. of Jakarta's time. It was so nice to be back home although the vacation was twice as nice. ^_^
