New Year of 2009
23:52I spent my last day in Bandung in 2008 with my family. I went to Simin Salon to wave my already short hair (that made me uncomfortable for the next few days.) I wanted Olga Kurylenko's cut, you know.
So, I spent the whole evening with family at home, all of my cousins and their parents who are still in Bandung came by. Some played cards, some connected to the internet, some playin' games in the computer, and the rest of them got busy for nothing, like I did.
I took a bath then, and went by 9.30 to Mario's house to take some things and fetched Pungky, and Suuk & Erik, then went to Ipong's house at Setraduta. We stayed there till 3 a.m., the 12 of us: me+Mario, Pungky, Cepin+Melan, Cella+Ivan, Ijal, Ipong+Caca, Erik and Suuk.

We departed by around 3.30 a.m. from Bandung to Pangandaran, stopped 1x at some gas station in Banjar, and arrived at the beach by around 9 a.m. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the hotel.
We stayed at Pondok Nicky, Jl. Kidang Pananjung, next to Sunrise Beach Hotel for the next 2 nights. So the boys got some sleep while the girls got some shopping. I went to Livia's hotel to fetch her and we had our lunch together at Pantai Indah Timur. After lunch Katherine came from Indramayu and joined us for the rest of the holiday.
We went to the west beach after noon and played with the giant tire, riding on it like riding the banana boat till 5 p.m. We rinsed ourselves at Pantai Indah Barat Hotel then took baths before we had our dinner at Risma Seafood at Pasar Ikan (Fish Market).
News flash: there are only certain food you could find in Pangandaran; lotek (and karedok, kupat tahu and gado-gado in a stall); mie baso (noodle+meatballs); and es podeng (some ice cream with dices of bread, some tape/avocado, some jelly and chocolate milk for toppings) in every terrace of a big hotel. They're like a must-have food there.
The other option is seafood in fish market and some other restaurants, but only a few kinds of other food you could find except that few restaurants got fried/grilled chicken with free sambal+lalap (chili and vegetables). Only in holiday seasons you'd find Pattaya Juice, cakwe, yogurt, and baso tahu stalls there.
We chilled out for some time at the hotel, then by 11 p.m. we walked to the Bumi Nusantara Hotel and stayed there till the count down. The Vila Kuda (a huge villa with many horse statues on it whose owner contributed a lot to the village) showed some extravagant firework performance and the hotel's pool was the best view to watch it.
It ended after a 30-minutes non-stop various of fireworks splashed in colors and forms on the black sky. It really lightened up the sky and its smoke washed the clouds away it left the sky black and starful. I went to bed by 1 a.m. so I didn't get any drop of the 'fake' mushrooms they drank and the none-ness effect they got and the stomachache they felt in the morning. LOL.

The morning started so late we woke up by 11 a.m. and had fried/grilled chicken for our lunch, We had another fun at the west beach, this time a bit longer. The boys played ball while the girls got the bodyboard and struggled with the wave. We were surprised by the arrival of Bapau and Budi from Bandung after the fun and they made the 15 of us.
We played for almost 2 hours, then we rinsed our sandy bodies at Sunrise Beach this time. After baths we had our dinner but this night we were divided into 2 groups: I, Mario, Cepin, Melan and Ijal went to Rasa Sayang Chinese Seafood Resto by the end of the road.
After that we went back to the hotel, played cards or PS2 (Erik brought the games), chatting, and drinking (Bapau and Budi brought 3 bottles of French red wine while we already bought some bottles of Heinekens.) At around 3 a.m. after we got tired Cepin started to drunk and it went so funny actually, but I fell asleep by around 3.30 so I missed the whole story and laughs.

We woke up a bit earlier than the day before and I had breakfast at Mega Laut, ran by one of our classmates, Rendy. We had hot rice porridge then we went back to the hotel, took some baths and got ready to go home. Only 6 of us were leaving this day (me, Mario, Pungky, Suuk, Erik and Ijal), while the rest extended their visit to one more day. So we had our lunch at Pantai Indah Timur, met some friends who were just arrived from Bandung, and by 2.45 p.m. we left the beach.
The journey took 5 hours and we stopped at the gas stations 2x along the long road. We dropped the boys home before finally got home. We were sooo tired but the holiday was so much fun!
(Thanks to Mario to make it came true to me ^_^ love you babe!)
