My brother made this song 4 years ago, upon our father's death on Dec 2009. It was a sudden death that shocked us all and brought dark times for us. This song is one of his many many songs but the first that he releases to public. Enjoy!

Macy Gray is one of my favorite singer and her newest song (that I know about) comes on my top playlist now. Simply love her voice!

I don't know how to post this, but I really think I need to. A friend promised me a short story for my birthday gift and last Tuesday he really gave it. On his blog. The title was Lima Hari Di Pasar Malam (Five Days in Night Fair). I do not have a right to copy paste it here, but short story shortened, it's about how he describes the stuff inside my head as a fair. A carnival. How fun is it!?

Well, the fair was forbidden for those who don't own a ticket, and in the story, he doesn't have it. So I guess he thinks I'm such an introvert person to him. I didn't see this coming, tho. Both the story of carnival and how he thinks of me. But it's nice to read something about ourselves from a such thoughtful person (borrowing my sister's phrase).

By the way, his name is Andi Fachri. He is a friend I met in Bali who moved back to Jakarta shortly before I did. We had fun 'coffee talks with stranger' (as he referred it), but apparently not enough to buy him a ticket to the night carnival. Shame on me, but maybe I'll work on it on our next coffee time.

I turned on my iTunes this morning and it shuffled to this song, that really hit me for the first time. I ended up playing it over and over again, thinking of my best friends Rachelle and Cheryl and our friendship and how we are so much far apart but still close at heart, although we don't keep in intense touch. This song is about friendship, love, support and courage. The song that really touches hearts. Cheers, Kenny Loggins!

I think this is a great illustration of John Lennon's song Imagine, and I completely understand about the message now. It's now about erasing heaven and hell and about being atheist, but I think there's a message from our ancestors, too, here. It's about seeing the world and life from another perspective. Fact is, religions had brought so many wars to the world, so why not erasing it to have the peace on earth?

I just found this new singer from Youtube who covers the top 40s and make quite nice video clips for each of the songs. She also has her own original songs there. I haven't googled her (maybe later) but here are some of her clips.. Very girly!
(Note: I like her version of The One That Got Away and We Are Young, but I am just so into Just Give Me A Reason right now..)

Being in the state of falling in love, anyone would just melt to listen to this song. I heard this Kiss Me last night when having dinner with Lyssandre. Such a romantic scene, right! LOL.
