Once Upon A Time...

... there was a guy who fell in love with a girl. And to meet his hope she loved him back. Yet have the fate not side with their love, together they were never been.

She lived her life in a town three hours away from him, made them meet more occasionally than often, and whenever they met their hearts bloomed.

Had the years passed now she moved to his city. To be with him she cut out other relationship she had and gave him the trilionth chance to get her back.

It was already the seventh years she was in love with him and so was he. But never, on those moments they had acted as lovers because the matter of place and time.

Yet in those years had they met and built a bond only they could see. The bond of love they secretly made between their hearts, not for anybody else to see, even from each other.

On one of Decembers of their years of knowing they got closer than ever. She was ready to give him everything. He was making journey to her town more than often.

But without any warning he walked away on the Valentine's Day. She cried her heart a river. He torn her heart to pieces. They lost contact again ever since.

Everytime they met and her heart blossomed and her hope risen, he vanished out of her life. It happened every six months for six years of their more-than-friends affair.

But that blue Valentine's night was the worst of all the blue nights she had everytime he disappears. She broke down and crawl herself to heal the wounds of what she felt for him.

One day they met again and what a nice fortuitous that her fellow happened to be his far cousin. She made them met. He talked about another girl instead.

She was once broken hearted. She was not anymore. He thought too much about everything he forgot what was more important in a relationship of two hearts.

He forgot that even a beautiful flower needs to be watered to keep on blooming. He forgot that even the most marvelous butterfly needs to be fed to not wither.

So as he went out of her life once again, she decided to move on. Then another man came into her life, filled the emptiness and healed the wound the guy left within her heart.

As they lived their lives apart had they found the meaning of love. They realized their love, deeper than they thought, after all the obstacles they had passed.

Once again he came into her life, just when she was moving on from him. She was now miserable between two. Yet she was tempted once again.

On a breezy October night, she had decided, that she would go for the love of her life. She was turning back to he whom she loved oh so dearly.

But once again just like a habit he walked away from her, only this time she had well prepared, yet still leaving her broken heart another wound.

She remained alone just in case he would come back after all of his journey of life accomplished. In case he wanted to go home, cuz a good home for him she'd made in her heart.

But never he did so. Instead the other love returned and asked her hands for him once again. She didn't response to it. She was still so much in love with the guy.

After a while of long months of waiting she grew tired. She realized he was not loving her the way she loved him. She thought he did not love her as much as she did.

She gave up on him and choose the other love instead. Her love for him would never lessen a bit for he was her true love, but she had to do wise now with her already miserable heart.

She thought it would be best to just let go of him--had she lost him a thousand of times before anyway--so this time it should not be so hard, isn't it?

It would better for her to never having to lose him, while in fact she never had him indeed, but why does her heart felt like losing him in every of its beat?

Never does she understand how long it should have for him to think--but she, too, had much to think about. She knew this was the best and she now had to sacrifice her love.

So she moved on and walked out of his life this time, hoped he would find the best life for himself and another love to light his way. She had to do this for the sake of both sides.

For no one knows the future, she also not knowing about it. His happiness to be with his current companionship and to taste every bliss of life, is the only thing she wanted for him.

For herself being wise with her heart, she knew, that other hearts would have been wounded. But compared to her own wounds in the past, she knows, she deserves the best now.

I woke up by 10 today and got myself ready. I left the apartment by 12.30 p.m. and went to the Senayan City. I took Kopaja 19 Bus to get to Ratu Plaza from Dukuh Atas and did the rest of the distance by foot.

I arrived at the mall by around 1.30 p.m. and met almost all of my aunts (except for Aunt Dewi since she's working, of course), Goldi and Oma. It's Aunt Sisca's birthday (the 47th, I guess) and we were celebrating it on lunch at Frankfurter Hotdog.

We had big sized sausages, from frankfurter to bratwurst, each with different sauce. We had some conversation and stayed till 3 p.m. at the restaurant. After that we had little shopping at some shoe stores. Two of the 6 of us got a pair of shoes.

Aunt Sisca had to go home early and she went home by 4 with Goldi and Oma. Aunt Magda and Agnes waited for me to get seated comfortly in a one-seater sofa at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, bought me some café mocha and beef quiché before they left me alone there.

I went online (but the connection was so poor I had to wait for an hour just to open one page) and did some scripting while waiting for my friends to come.

Shereen came first by around 5.30 then Angger showed up. We had some conversation before Maya called about her arrival and asked us to catch up to the food court. So we went up to the 5th floor and met up with the rest of the group: Maya, Mba Enik, Fera, Mas Wis and Edwin. Lazu came by 7. I just accompanied them having their dinner cuz I've just had my quiché.

We moved down to the X KTV to have some karaoke but it was full so we went to the Secret Recipe instead. We had some round tables gathered together and formed the white plastic chairs around in the outside hallway near the pool.

Not long after that Mas Fai came with Ika, made our group bigger. It was nice to have them as friends, dunno how it works out but we do fit okay as colleagues, thanks to the HRD. It was such a shame that they couldn't keep us working there and having to watch one by one of us walking out of the door where we first met and know each other. However bad the place was, it was the place where we've shared good and bad days together, and something--whatever it is--bound us close from there.

We went home after they turned off the lights--sign that they were closing--and I reached home by 11, by a Blue Bird this time, remembering that it wasn't too safe for a young girl like me to go alone that late by a not-too-promising taxi company. And since the connection was bad at the mall, I have to go online now cuz I'm going to Bandung tomorrow morning.

Burn Your Own Girlfriend?

I just watched the news and found this interesting one: a guy had burnt his own girlfriend becuz of jealousy in Kupang, NTT (5 Dec). She's now dead, if I'm not mistaken, and he's still not captured, walks freely out there. Read the news here.

It looks, sounds, feels totally psychotic, mad and unbelievable how a boyfriend could dare burn his own girlfriend? Dang, how lucky I am to have such a loving boy and have 'trained' him not to be too possesive over me.

It's just beyond my logic how that kind of crime could be done. I don't understand people. But I'm certain that they must be regretting that later, after they see the burnt body of someone they loved. We never realize how much one's value till it's gone, right? (Remember the Big Yellow Taxi song by Counting Crows.)

I would say, the first problem here was the possession. It's normal to feel some possessiveness but when it's excess the limit, it could cause serious, and oftenly fatal result. Like this news I've just watched, for example.

I still think that that kind of problem (the jealousy) can be done in other ways, way better ones. The second problem here was the psycho side of the boyfriend. He must have some mental problem.

Not only that poor Desi Kana, several similar cases happened in other places, also in this December; a high school girl at Pulau Panggang, Thousand Islands, burnt herself to proof her loyalty, and a guy who burnt his ex to death in Bekasi, or maybe there are more. All of those cases happened in just a matter of days! All in this early December!

I don't get those people. Maybe bcuz they're watching too many thriller and psychotic movies or those criminal news/not having something good to do that they think they have to try to experiment something 'new'/already sold their soul to the devil/daydreaming on fatal things (or simply psychotic) that they could easily do such thing to their loved ones. Love itself had turned to be something obsessive.

That's insane.. I can't really comment more on those cases, I just still can't understand why. Well, anything can happen when you're in dark emotion. But, burning your own girlfriend?? Gosh, people!

The world's just getting mad each day-which means the Heaven Kingdom is getting nearer. Dang-we should really pray more often and devoted! I hope those kinds of thing will never get in my way. EVER.

A Walk to Plaza Indonesia

I felt like a prisoner in my own apartment for days, so I decided to go out today. I woke up by before 11 (by an sms from my Dad) and read some pages from Twilight, then had a pile of bread for brunch, then did some house works.

After swept, mopped the floor and ironed some clothes, I took a bath and went out. I had my super late lunch at Tenda Samping BNI 46 by 4 p.m. I had gudeg Yogya and it was pretty nice. I was too full up to do some walking after, but I did walked all my way to the Grand Indonesia.

I stopped by to catch some breath (and breathe some AC-ed oxygen,) and tidy up a bit. I've planned to go to Plaza Indonesia from the first time cuz I've been visiting GI for too many times in a month and haven't step on PI for the last 2-3 months so I continued walking to PI and walked straight to Periplus. Always love the store since it sells imported books the cheapest. I spent some time there, checking books there.

After sweeping the whole small book store I went to ak.'sa.ra and spent more time there, probably for nearly 2 hours, checking on every rack in the store, afraid to miss anything new or any book on sale, tho I finally went out by 7 carrying nothing but my own bag.

From those two bookstores, I came to a conclusion that I want these books for my Christmas gift (or I'll buy them myself someday when I get some budget, but still I'm hoping for someone to buy me one of these, actually.. *wicked laugh*):

1. The three latter books of Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. Of course. LOL.

2. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Another New York Times bestseller, about a girl who got murdered telling stories from heaven. Looks like an interesting one..

3. Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. Tried to like him since Stardust and those recommedations of Sandman from Blepak and friends.. but I haven't touch the Fragile Things yet since I bought it 2 months ago.

4. Why Men Marry Bitches by Sherry Argov. I don't really want to buy this, actually. I just want to read it since I've read the first 20 pages online.. perhaps it'd be better if I could borrow this from someone.. anyone?

5. Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Been wanting this book like from 5 years ago but never happened to buy it, dunno why-maybe it's not as interesting enough for me. LOL.

By the way I ended up getting online at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Plaza Indonesia for more than 3 hours alone, lucky that I brought my Macbook. It was nice to have something different from my routine activities at home. I happened to meet 3 of my girl friends from Binus; Gail, Fer and Sally when I was about to go home. It was nice seeing them again, tho, after so many years of the absence. Especially Fer, whom I've never saw again after Binus.

I walked by foot again to my apartment and it took less than 1/2 hour to get to my room. It was nice, did the walk, since I need some exercise (gotta lose those fat in my belly, lol) and the air was much less polluted than in the noon. I was a little disappointed that Mario didn't seem to really care about how I was getting home and how late I was home, but well, since I'm no longer having my PMS, I was letting the topic slip away. (Just one proof that Edward Cullen is still the most ideal boyfriend, tho.)

Weekend with My Girls

Livia came by my apartment yesterday afternoon by DayTrans shuttle service. I picked her up at the pool (it's only across the way from my apartment, all I had to do was get on the crossing bridge) and we chilled out at my room.

We prepared ourselves then we went to Grand Indonesia by foot. It was fun to do this thing with Livia, cuz she's my girl and I love to share my world with her.LOL.

We arrived at the huge shopping town and we walked around, checking stores from Harvey Nichols (nothing to buy there, definitely-LOL) to Alun-Alun. I did got a pair of earrings for only Rp 9,900.- since it was 70% discount.

We swept the mall 'til 8.30 and we had dinner at the Burger King. We were supposed to meet a blind date Livia had arranged there but they didn't show up 'til almost 9 so we went home and left them searching. It was fun, to spy on these guys looking for us from behind the glass wall.

They'd came, were there, but couldn't find Livia since she was facing the wall. I got the more benefit to sit facing the hallway so I could peek on them. They didn't know me so I could see them freely and I didn't think they were worth enough more of our time (we'd waited since around 6 and the meeting was supposed to be at 7 p.m.-not to mention that he looked like a desperate 35-years old man who likes to flirt with teenagers, although his 'cousin' looked pretty okay..)

So by the time we'd finished our meal we sneaked out and 'ran' away. Mario picked us up at the perfect time and we went back to my apartment and prepared for the night.

We called Lita and Nina to join us. Shereen asked me from the first time so I told her I was in. We arrived before 12 to get the access from the guest list line. So we went in free (thanks to Eric and Oci.)

We got our group enlarged cuz Livia's 2 girl friends from Pluit joined us (but I forgot their names) and Shereen showed up just minutes later. Lita and Nina came right about 12 a.m. I was really excited to have all of my girl friends gathered together at a party. There were also Mario's friends, came right away from Bandung; Eric, Reggy and the girls. We really made our group large.

Our most favorite R'n'B DJ Shizo played for the first 2 hours, so we went before 3 cuz we don't really like the mix the other DJ put in there. We drove to Nina's then Lita's homes. We went back home by around 4 and slept so sound til 12 p.m. today!

Livia had a wedding party to attend this noon so she went by 1 p.m. to the wedding place while I have the wedding to attend (Laura+Victor's) tonight at Gran Melia Hotel. I met Lala before Livia came yesterday, on Saturday afternoon at one restaurant in my apartment complex and it was both nice and weird to see her. Nice bcuz it had been some time since we last met, and weird cuz she was getting married today and was still relaxed in her casual style like she wasn't gonna face a huge day the day after.. But that's her unique style and I like it from her. Happy that she's getting married today!

This Thing About Vampires

I dunno why but vampires have always been very interesting to me. Remember Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire?

Yeah, vampires were almost always described as tall or at least well-figured men (or in nice-shaped women), very handsome and came from the early 18th century from Europe (possibly from England, Germany or French.)

Born in the age of romanticism (you know, those Rennaissance to Baroque kinds of stuff), I've always assumed the vampires to be romantic (apart from the dracula's darker image.. maybe, it's bcuz they were all gentlemen back in their age? And as you know, men are like wine; the older the better, I guess vampires had all the lessons through so many ages they have passed, right? LOL. I'm just being shallow here.)

One of my friends would agree with me on this: vampires are romantic.. I mean, the stories about vampires are usually romantic. They even know where to 'suck blood' from the girls at the right spot: neck. LOL. But I could never forget the former vampire movie I've watched with Livia, also based on Anne Rice's novel, years ago: Queen of the Damned, starring the late Aaliyah and Stuart Townsend. We held hands during the movie cuz we couldn't stand Townsend's both cool and charming character being Lestat there.

That was the beginning of our assumption that vampires are cool (always remember Stuart's line as Lestat: 'Boo!'), weirdly romantic (I guess it's in their low voices or in their mysterious acts.. dunno why), and soo sexy (from the bods, of course, LOL..)

So, when I watched this latest vampire movie, Twilight Saga, tonight (with Mario, at the fX by 7 p.m.) I couldn't stop thinking about Edward Cullen (love, love, love Edward!) and I started wondering if my boyfriend is really a vampire (well, realizing that's not possible at all I changed to wondering how would it be like to have a vampire boyfriend like Bella. LOL.)

I really like the movie and Edward's character (and the whole scene, of course) has been haunting me for hours and I think I'll buy the book right away (I've thought about this long before but my pending already-bought-but-not-yet-read-book list is still very long and I have to save the money..)

Salute to Stephenie Meyer, I'm surely gonna buy your 4 books!

Getting Serious Here?

[now as a couple again]

I went to Bandung last weekend and showed up everywhere with Mario; at his cousin's wedding last Saturday, to Livia's house and Roemah Keboen restaurant with Yanto and Irma on Sunday.

These had been questioned among our friends and family; 'are you getting back together again now?'-kind of questions and the worse is the 'when will you guys get married?'-ones.

Well, these ones are quite boring questions to be answered, but I still have to answer that, like it or not. So, yeah, we're getting back together now, as you all can see, at the facebook relationship status and in the malls if you're happen to bump in to us.

Why?

Well, maybe it's becuz of love.. the most powerful reason in the world. Because of Mario's unconditional love for me that had melted my cold heart for the last few months. The second reason, is that we're making a great combination, perfect as couple cuz we complete each other. I need him as much as he needs me. And together, we're the ultimate pair who will conquer the world (doesn't it sound a bit excessive? LOL.)

Despite of all the guys that I've loved, the guy I still love out there (but not man enough to carry me in his life so I have to bury it deep inside to move on with my life), I chose Mario at the end. This isn't easy for me to admit. Bcuz he isn't the guy that I want, he's what I need. I just realized that I was still not ready to totally lose him.

I couldn't get with the one that I want (tried to get hooked up with the same person for the last 7 years but always failed) and I've learned my lesson, that God has the best plan; what I want isn't always best for me but He already provides the one I need.

I gotta surrender to His plan, cuz He knows everything beyond my understanding and before I know about myself, right? Yeah, I gotta accept my destiny, although it's hard to bear, but I believe that it's the best cuz whatever comes from Him, comes with joy and peace in mind.

Maybe it's right, that wise women are those who falls for the guy who falls in love with her. Bcuz I've been treated like a queen by Mario, everyday! While if I chose the other guy who I want, I think I'll still be so tired of waiting and wondering.. and still he's not for me in the end (he must have found his way to be with me if he's for me.)

I'm the kind of 'bus driver', not 'taxi driver' actually (bus driver already has destination and route while taxi driver drives as the passenger's wish) so I am leaving all those who 'aren't for me' behind and go on with the ones who are for me and get along with me well.

The next question, is harder to answer: when will we be married?

Okay, we've been thinking about that. But no, we still can not give you an answer, sorry. That's not becuz of our lack of commitment or willing, but becuz of our limited money to provide all that would be needed to do such a big thing in our lives.

Originally, I planned on getting married by the age of 27-30. I don't wanna regret my decision and wanna enjoy my single life as free as I could be. I never plan on meeting my soulmate before that, although I've been longing to know how he'd look like (come on, every girl is curious about her future husband.) I still wanna have fun (maybe that's why I played with more of younger friends lately) and spend more time with friends and family instead of going as 'an item' everywhere, cuz deep inside I don't feel ready for such thing, I'm still a young girl!

But when love comes, how could I refuse? I tried to escape from it, but it keeps coming back for more, binding me not to get too far. I know that sooner or later, I gotta choose. It's no longer a problem now about when. We've collected the 'whys' we gotta be together and without knowing how, it just happened. I still dunno if Mario's gotta stay until the end or not but now, we're together and that's what's important.

Life is full of mystery and miracle. Don't question it, just flow with it. In the end, you'll just discover the beauty of life itself.
