Juno

09:52

I watched this 'quirky' movie last night and think that the movie was cool. It made me think otherwise about being pregnant; as if it's something so usual and nothing to be ashamed of, even if you're pregnant outside of a marriage and you're still 16 years old.

Juno took the pregnant thing so cool, without being too stressed about it. The movie is just so cool. Can't imagine to have such a family she has, too. Her dad was so cool and her step mom is just as cool. I mean, especially in Indonesia, how on earth would we have an issue without being a discussion to the whole big family, and being gossiped by the neighborhood and we have to care about the thing to look very good in the outside, while it's kinda broken inside. People here want to look the good wrapping, not really care about what lies inside.

Juno really taught us lessons. That being pregnant outside a marriage isn't something to be gossiped about, what's more important is how you'd manage to deliver the baby's birth and think about how it'd gonna live; being a single mom, getting a young family of your own, or give it to an adoption. Just don't kill the baby, it already has fingernails!

Juno also taught us that it's not about getting married with the father of the baby if there isn't love between. It's not important about the father if you're going to give the baby to an adoption. It'll just ruin your life if you married the father without love, at such a young age. It'd be better if you just give the baby away, and move on with your life, that way you shouldn't sin twice or more (the first sin was to have the sex, you see.)

A friend of mine suggested that if he was the father of the pregnant girl, he wouldn't force the boy to marry his daughter, but instead take her far away, deliver the baby's birth, and when she returned then no one knows, instead of forcing a flaw marriage; neighbors will judge the bride's big belly or count to the months of the baby's birth day, and the happiness of the marriage isn't guaranteed.

Juno is such a great cool movie (should I mention 'cool' one more time) and really is good for teenagers, to think before do the sex (they shall if they could act as cool as Juno, I guess??). And how the family's going, it's just wonderful how the stepmom defended her in front of the technician lady. It's just such a wonderful family to have, even Juno also taught us that there are no such a perfect family (Vanessa has her baby finally but without a husband and Juno herself has a cool family with her stepmom instead her bio mom..)

In the end, it's just how you see the whole picture. Even a flawed family can be perfect if you think it's perfect. Perfect isn't about the measurement. Perfect can be reached just when you can see it that way cuz there's no such thing made as 'perfect' in this world.
We have to accept the things that we can not change (and change the things we can, and to know the difference between~The Serenity Prayer.)
