Another Victoria's Secrets

But along my study from real life's fact around me both in Jakarta and Bandung, I found that Bandung people are getting married in younger age than they who are in Jakarta. The smaller the city, the younger the age for they to get married.

Other fact, that is more interesting, is that Bandung girls are found more materialistic than bigger city girls. I had been wondering why is it like that, but then my bf and I discussed about it and we concluded that it's because it's weather.

Bandung is one of the most comfortable city to live in, it's so artsy, the weather is cool and has lots of cafes to chill out at. It made us hang out more than people in bigger or hotter city and this, made us automatically a bit lazier.

I studied that most of my friends prefer to work for their dads if their dads have a factory or shop to run for generations. The others prefer to stay in business line, got the skill from their Chinese ancestors. The ones who don't have Chinese blood still do business here, opening clothing lines/distros, restaurants/cafes, event organizers, boutiques, or other small businesses. Only a little of them prefer to work in an office.

Therefore, more people here prefer the easy way to get money (businesses do better than office works) and to marry an eligible rich bachelor is one of the easiest. Not to offend anyone, but this is the fact I found, and blame the weather to make such a tradition/culture here. The positive result is Bandungnese are more fashionable and artsy than Jakartanese, but the negative is that they are more consumptive, more showing off, and that made them more materialistic.

Plus, poeple here tend to be young parents, they'd like to enjoy their old days in peace, therefore they're making kids in their most powerful and spiritful time of their lives, which is between 20-30 years of age. The girls need a richer and more settled men to be a good husband and a proper father of their kids.

Soooo, I consider those things above are the reasons why girls in Bandung are more materialistic than they are in Jakarta. I dunno about other cities out there, but Bandung-Jakarta are the cities I see and experience everyday.

It's been a while since I last went there so it was a really nice treat my Dad took us to the Duck King. We had a marvelous dinner and then took some walk. I went to the Zoom but they couldn't fix the problem I had with my Mac and told me that I had to come back tomorrow.

We walked for some time and we visited VNC cuz my sister wanted to see some shoes but it was me who bought a pair. They're a really nice silver pointed flat shoes (a little shine down there won't kill anyone, right?) I had a crush on those from 2 weeks ago in Senayan City but didn't bought them for the price was expensive. But today, they sold it for 50%!

What a lucky me, this is the second time this week I got stuff from my wish list in 50%. Fufufufufu.. *wicked laugh.. I'm just so happy!

Meanwhile my brother bought some sushi at Papaya and later tonight we had a sushi party at the terrace. It was nnniiiceeee!

We also bought cake (to be more exact, he bought it) then hurried our way to Melawai area to pick up Joey's friend, Paulina, who works around there. We made our way to Kuningan via Mampang so the traffic wasn't too jammed as it was in Sudirman.

We made it to Menara Karya, in which the PEPeNERO Cucina Italiana located. We waited for some time for the birthday girl to come, then we were seated at the reserved tables for 30 and started ordering the Italian food.

We took pics before and after eating, and mostly were entertained by Alex's presence. After meal there were two of Gaby's friends contributed some seriosa songs and the last song was 'Happy Birthday' as Amanda brought the photographed cake.

It was nice, singing the 'Happy Birthday' song and looking to the birthday person's happy face. And she was just 17! How old I am now, I was thinking..

The party was over by 12 a.m. and Joey took me back home safely. It had been a while since the last time I met those guys, probably almost two months after the rafting thing. And I got new friend, Paulina, who appeared to be a nice companion to me. I had fun. And for that few hours I was feeling young again. Thanks for the night, Gaby (and all of the guests attending)!

She lived her life in a town three hours away from him, made them meet more occasionally than often, and whenever they met their hearts bloomed.

Had the years passed now she moved to his city. To be with him she cut out other relationship she had and gave him the trilionth chance to get her back.

It was already the seventh years she was in love with him and so was he. But never, on those moments they had acted as lovers because the matter of place and time.

Yet in those years had they met and built a bond only they could see. The bond of love they secretly made between their hearts, not for anybody else to see, even from each other.

On one of Decembers of their years of knowing they got closer than ever. She was ready to give him everything. He was making journey to her town more than often.

But without any warning he walked away on the Valentine's Day. She cried her heart a river. He torn her heart to pieces. They lost contact again ever since.

One day they met again and what a nice fortuitous that her fellow happened to be his far cousin. She made them met. He talked about another girl instead.

She was once broken hearted. She was not anymore. He thought too much about everything he forgot what was more important in a relationship of two hearts.

He forgot that even a beautiful flower needs to be watered to keep on blooming. He forgot that even the most marvelous butterfly needs to be fed to not wither.

So as he went out of her life once again, she decided to move on. Then another man came into her life, filled the emptiness and healed the wound the guy left within her heart.

As they lived their lives apart had they found the meaning of love. They realized their love, deeper than they thought, after all the obstacles they had passed.

Once again he came into her life, just when she was moving on from him. She was now miserable between two. Yet she was tempted once again.

On a breezy October night, she had decided, that she would go for the love of her life. She was turning back to he whom she loved oh so dearly.

But once again just like a habit he walked away from her, only this time she had well prepared, yet still leaving her broken heart another wound.

She remained alone just in case he would come back after all of his journey of life accomplished. In case he wanted to go home, cuz  a good home for him she'd made in her heart.

But never he did so. Instead the other love returned and asked her hands for him once again. She didn't response to it. She was still so much in love with the guy.

After a while of long months of waiting she grew tired. She realized he was not loving her the way she loved him. She thought he did not love her as much as she did.

She gave up on him and choose the other love instead. Her love for him would never lessen a bit for he was her true love, but she had to do wise now with her already miserable heart.

She thought it would be best to just let go of him--had she lost him a thousand of times before anyway--so this time it should not be so hard, isn't it?

It would better for her to never having to lose him, while in fact she never had him indeed, but why does her heart felt like losing him in every of its beat?

Never does she understand how long it should have for him to think--but she, too, had much to think about. She knew this was the best and she now had to sacrifice her love.

So she moved on and walked out of his life this time, hoped he would find the best life for himself and another love to light his way. She had to do this for the sake of both sides. 

For no one knows the future, she also not knowing about it. His happiness to be with his current companionship and to taste every bliss of life, is the only thing she wanted for him.

For herself being wise with her heart, she knew, that other hearts would have been wounded. But compared to her own wounds in the past, she knows, she deserves the best now.

I was opening my old letters, the electronic ones in my inbox when I found out that I am still keeping those from my exs. And I realized, that I tend to look for a guy who can protect me, loves me so much that I should be the 'queen' of his life (I don't like competitors, LOL), and someone who can discuss things with me. Someone just like Edward Cullen, perhaps, but in this human world.

And today, being with Mario, I feel so much like Bella Swan, so lucky being an object of such a great guy's desire. Cuz despite all the men I've ever dated, of all the men I could never have, Mario seems just like the most perfect fit for me. He listens to me even when I wasn't speaking, as if he reads my mind. 

He knows me, better than the others, and responds to my calls, without me putting too much effort. He always know when I miss him, or when I am angry or furious, or when I have something troubled my mind.. It's like he has a radar around me in case I'd need anything from him.

Mario is always there when I need him, shows up around me in just a matter of minutes, helps me to do with whatever I need to, answer my bothering questions, fights himself for me, accompanies me, leads me, supports me, and loves me. He's just so perfect for me, as if those hands and body and mind are perfectly made for me.

Maybe if I was still in high school I'd dreamt of Edward Cullen. But now that I've found my own gorgeous 'vampire', I shouldn't daydream about it and just grateful for the fact. I could say, that Mario Hariadi is my Edward Cullen in my world, and what a lucky girl I am to have him of all the girls in the world who long for that loving figure..
