I was scheduled to be interviewed by 3 p.m. today for the new job so I went out from my office and headed to the west by taxi. It was stuck at around Jl. Arteri Pondok Indah because it was raining, which caused it flooding, which had stuck cars and buses and I had to stop there, walked a little to the transjakarta bus station--but the officer said the bus was stuck for hours already--so I crossed the road and waited for another taxi to come but it never came until it was started to rain so I had to stepped back for 1 meter or two and talked with a snack seller who told me some numbers of bus going west but then adviced me to go by ojek which I agreed so I took the ojek to my 'future office'. *huff huff. take some breath. then exhale. okay. start again... to be noted: I used only one sentence for the first parragraph here.
So, after this third interview I was having (which took less than 30 minutes, far quicker than the journey I made.) I was confused on how I'd go home since the transjakarta bus was still stuck, but then I decided to go by angkot so I took the M11 Mikrolet to Tanah Abang (not 'Brother Land') but I just found out the track was ended at the market so I had to stop at the market and took a little walk on the muddy now-brown-of-earth-and-full-with-garbage asphalt and by the end of the road I asked a bajaj driver how could I get to Kebon Kacang (not 'Peanut Garden').
So he took me to Jl. Kebon Kacang Raya and I made my way into the Grand Indonesia and met my sister and her bf at Gramedia, in which Dad catched up with us soon after. Then the four of us had nasi campur of Putri Kenanga dinner at the Food Louver. I took a chance to go to the ATM centers to do some transaction so that I shouldn't go to the banks tomorrow.
While we were eating Beatrix my schoolmate popped in with her mom. I was gonna meet her at Plaza Indonesia but it was nice meeting her an hour earlier there, added some time for us to exchange some stories.

I ran to Forever 21 to buy something for Tessa's upcoming 27th birthday, then hurriedly went across the street to the Plaza Indonesia. We arrived at the CG artspace at the third floor where the opening of the Revisiting the Last Supper exhibition was held in. We walked in, got the catalog book and a complimentary Dewi magz.
After some speeches I took some pics with my artist friend, then had short conversation just like a briefing about our own worlds. It was really nice to see her there, and the fact that she's making her own fame and wealth by the path she chose, it's something that made me really proud. I've never thought that she'd become a famous painter like now. It's good for her.

We were going home by 8.30 but the moment I was going to pass the coin-like pivot door of the art space, I met Tante Milla, once a schoolmate at MADC who is also mother of a friend, who was just arrived. It had been some time since I last met her and it shouldn't be surprising to meet her in art exhibition openings like this one, but still, I was surprised.
So, this is quite a day for me, getting to places by various public transportation I rarely ride on lately (the only one transportation I didn't get on is bus, which I usually take daily.) It had been a very tiring day--from the morning since the meeting I didn't understand what they were talking about the M/E stuff till the super long journey to GI--but the ending was nice, so I now say my grace before sleep. Thank the Lord!
