My Thoughts

At this phase of life, I've done a lot of thinking about friendship, love, and stuff. It's like there's nothing I can rely on but my job and family. Friends failed me and love is something impossible for now. All the guys I like are taken and friends left me. Sometimes it feels like I'm all alone while the world is getting more crazy.

It kinda hit me last night when I had a chat with my old best friends. One of them is getting married and she wanted us to wear a dress code--but time has passed from when we were excited about dress codes. We now have separated lives of our own. We don't longer talk with each other and we simply have different dresses we want to wear for the party.

Things changed, people changed, even best friends changed. I am crying inside for the changes but there's nothing I can do to put it back the same way. Things must change eventually because people grow up inside. We don't walk on the same place--we must go forward. So when another best friend I have changed recently, I just have to let her go.

I think there's no such thing that you can be upset to a person just because he asks things more than twice for the same case and just because he incidentally told a friend about your plan tonight. There should be something greater behind that, to stop one from being a friend to another. And when people don't feel like they're talking to me no more, I can do nothing but keep in silence.

A friend wrote this on his facebook profile:

Friends are like tattoos, some are real & permanent and some are fake & temporary... I don't need to do everything just to be happy.... I just need to take care of the people who are making me happy... Friendship isn't about how long I've known someone, its about who came into my life and never left by my side... }:/

And I thought, if a friend doesn't want to be near me anymore, it's not all my loss anyway. I still got much love to be given to people who need it more, like my family and other people who aren't my friends yet. We can always have new friends anywhere and just make the best of it. Life has taught me that the persons you want the most in life isn't always the one that'll stick around for a long time. That's how you appreciate the people you care less about before.

I had a conversation with my sister the other day. We discussed about how life being much harder since dad had passed away. Our family is broken, our dearest people betrayed on us and life is just getting bitter. But we are still glad because we've tasted the sweetness of life at the beginning of our lives so that we can still taste the sweets in every bitterness. We try to think positive in every incident in our lives, thank God for that.

Still, I am feeling rather lonely now. It's like being a single fighter tho I still got my siblings, mom and aunts around me to get thru the days. Good friends are becoming so rare to find and better ones are hard to met with these days. At the end of the day, it's just the business between you and God--friends and love are the bonuses He's giving us and we don't get bonus all the time.

For me now, it's like a very individual life--tho I'm so much a caring person inside. I was always surrounded by friends everywhere I went, and now I'm surrounded by work loads and the stress of it. Things had really changed now and we just got to play the game. I believe things will get better anyway. Sorrows will be lifted up and sun will shine back on me. Until then, all I got to do is to keep being positive, no matter what.
