Lebaran Day 1.

I went to Ara's home to pick him up but had a moment to try the ketupat there. After a quick lunch we went to X-Trans pool at Cihampelas to fetch up my cousin, Hizkia, who just came from Jakarta. We went to Ara's grandparent's home first and had a silaturahmi (a gathering with relatives, ed.) We stayed there for another hour and a half, then by 3 p.m. we left the house and headed to my house.

On the way, we stopped at Yogya supermarket and to Julie's kost to pick her up. Then the four of us went home and stayed occupied with TV, internet, game, chit-chat or even sleep till it was dinner time. We had many kinds of food for dinner--anything Mom could find at the refrigerator--by 8.30 p.m. but then Clemy came home by 10.30 p.m. with Angelo so the second round of dinner was started.

Mom opened the Hatten red wine for us so we had a toast together, all of us: Mom, Dad, me, Ara, Clemy, Angelo, Hizkia and Julie. Ben didn't join us because he was not home yet. After dinner some of us went to pick Ben up and we chilled out at our front terrace, having the fun quizzes stuff with beers and it was 4 a.m. when we realized that we had to sleep. It had been such a fun and tiring day for all of us.

Lebaran Day 2.

We all woke up at 12.30 p.m. and we had our super-late brunch Mom ordered from a Chinese restaurant, then we relaxed till it was 4 p.m. then some of us went to Ciwalk. Hizkia was meeting his friends who came from Jakarta there, Angelo and Ara played an online game at a warnet across the street while Julie and I had some shopping for the night's dinner.

After a cup of fro-yo (of peach, crispies and Oreo on double) from J.Co, we drove home and dropped Angelo at the crossroad to his aunt's house. Once we were home, we started preparing. Mom and Julie were busy at the kitchen with the salad.

Ara and Angelo were in charge with the barbeque grill and meat.

[the yummy red meat]

While Clemy and I was dangling here and there, supporting and annoying everyone with camera, and Dad was happily watching over us.

[me and my sister not doing anything actually]

[dad patiently wait for the food]

Too bad Ben was sick so he stayed at his room sleeping. Hizkia had his four friends came by taxi and they joined us with the fiesta.

[hizkia and his friends]

Finally the dinner was ready by 9 p.m. and we were so hungry to eat and the food were just deliciously inviting that made us finished them all in less than an hour.

[the meals, tasted better than it looked]

After dinner we cleaned up the stuff; washing the dishes, rubbing the grill, and cleaning the table up.

[cleaning time]

After that, Angelo and Hizkia dropped the friends back home, and then Yoshua came and everybody was getting busy again. Finally we went drowsy by around 1 a.m. Angelo went home with Yoshua and we went to sleep one by one. It was another tiring yet happy day for all of us.

Post-Lebaran Day.

We woke up earlier today. It was 11.30 a.m. when I woke up. Some of us had breakfast but some other didn’t and then Mom, Dad, Clemy and Hizkia went to the town. I heated up the curry beef and the rice and the rest of us ate for lunch.

Ben was still at his room sleeping and Ara was in another room—also sleeping. So Julie and I just watching TV and went online. By around 5 p.m. the party came home and we started to prepare the dinner. Ben went to see his friends and Ara went with him. The rest of us were still busy in front of the telly till it was 9 p.m.

Ben came home and we were getting ready to get out, waiting for our turn. We dropped Clemy at Angelo’s aunt’s place then we were all going to the downtown, looking for a place to hang out at. I called Irma and she said she told us to go to Braga so there we went. We were going to hang out at the EC Store but it was full so we crossed the street and ordered food at Wendy’s instead.

I had the Frosty and we stayed there chit-chatting till 11 p.m. The restaurant was closing so we went home. We had to fetch Clemy so we went there before home. Apparently Yoshua was gonna have his birthday coming in 10 minutes so we stayed.

[julie and yoshua, looking similar]

After a short birthday song and greetings we went home and there was Godfather movie on the tivo but I slept over the couch in less than 30 minutes watching it. I moved to my room at 3 a.m. and went asleep right away.

Today.

We woke up even earlier than we had since the holiday. I woke up by 9.30 a.m. when Mom sent me sms and Ara called me. Mom and Dad were gone already to a relative's wedding. We woke up lazily and headed to our balcony at the downstairs and Clemy catch up with us and we helped ourselves with biscuits, banana sale crisps and tea.

At around 3 p.m. Mom and Dad went home after we had our lunch (Clemy made it today: french fries, chicken nugget and bak choy for rice.) We took baths and stuff and after dinner (now Mom made it for us: kung pao chicken and bean sprouts with carrot veggie) we went to PVJ.

It took us more than an hour to get there because we had to fetch Ben first at Cihampelas and because of the traffic jam (remember this was the last day of the holiday.) Once we reached Sukajadi, the police sent us to Sukamaju so we parked our car there and took a walk to the mall.

We’ve already eaten so we could go wherever we needed to. Hizkia went with his other friend, Ben and Clemy went to buy Ben a new pair of flip-flop, while Julie and I went to buy Mom a pair of scissors. After that we met up with Hizkia and Arya at the Black Canyon. Then we went to KFC to see Irma and Yanto and the whole pack was gathered. We then moved to Sour Sally and had our fro-yo there.

[clemy and irma at sour sally]

It was time to go home already so we said goodbye to Irma and Yanto, fetched Hizkia at the Starbucks and walked our way back to our car, then home. It was so good to be home after such tiring walk. I need to recharge my battery and refresh my mind. I should say that this year’s Lebaran is the one of the greatest moments of my life.
